Weekends
The two
weekends away are the main focus of the expedition part of the
Award. The first weekend is a two day practice expedition
where we hope to iron out any problems. The second weekend is
the 3 day assessed expedition which will be conducted over a
slightly different route in the same area
Participants should have brought in the
majority of their kit on the Thursday prior to the
expedition and should just need wash kit, packed lunch
and drinks on the Friday or Saturday. They should also make
sure they are dressed to cope with the weather which
means expecting rain and chilly evenings. We will provide
milk, bread, marge, tea and coffee to save carrying these
difficult items. The young people should have already brought
in a meal for Saturday evening and some breakfast.
