Day Walks
As
part of the training for the Award you will undertake two Day
Walks. These are to improve your map reading skills on the
first day and to reinforce those skills and familiarise you
with the area in which we will undertake our expedition on the
second day walk.
The first day walk will
be held at Frodsham click on the maps button for an OS
map
The second day walk will
be near Ruthin
Remember to use Multimap any time you
need an OS map. Using the expand map icon < and f11 (full
screen) gives large map extracts down to 1:25000
scale.
You
will need strong shoes or preferably boots, a packed lunch and
a waterproof top. Don't forget your
weather forecast , you can navigate to the
right page.
