Is the title of a Government Project to improve and in some cases rebuild all UK schools.
West Derby School is on track to be in a new building in September 2009.
The new building promises to be a state of the art 'smart' school. The proposed new site is the playing fields behind Peter Lloyd Sports Centre with the existing Bankfield site becoming a staff car park.
There will be playing fields to ensure that the school and local teams have enough football pitch space to fulfil their many fixtures.
The Ernest Cookson School will also relocate onto the new site, together with a community library.
