AO2: Make proposals for the design and function of a website for a chosen business

TASK TO BE COMPLETED
Propose a website design for the company. Make sure you include use of colour, graphics, moving images or photos. Give details of sounds or music and what text (size, colour, font, word art) you will use. Your design should include the ability to:
• select items to purchase
• enter personal details like name and address
• enter credit card details
• enter delivery details
• use message boards
• use chat rooms
• use site search (facilities, regions, price ranges, etc)

     PASS

  • Design for a 5 page website for a small company using PowerPoint.
  • Your design must include two of the listed functions.
  • Include speaker notes that give details of the purpose, content and function of the site. How have these influenced the design choices you have made?

     MERIT

  • Your design should be 6 or 7 slides and include 3 of the listed functions.
  • Speaker notes must describe in detail why you have included the functions and content. Compare your site with those you evaluated in AO1.
  • Your explanations should refer to the purpose and audience at all times. Design choices must be justified.

     DISTINCTION

  • Your proposed website should be of a professional standard and include 4 of the listed functions.
  • Speaker notes give a detailed description of the purpose, function and content of the website, refer to the evaluations you made in AO1 and compare your website with a professional one.
All of your design choices are linked to your company and purpose of the website.
