WORLD MATHS DAY - MARCH 2008 Flash Slide show - may take a few seconds to load
West Derby Boys, along with over 1 million other students around the world, became part of a new world record on the 5th of March - World Maths Day.
Boys from years 7,8 and 9 helped in achieving a record 160 Million correctly answered maths questions.
Special mentions for Jon Kelly (yr7), who answered the most questions correctly, and for Michael Moreton (yr9), with the 2nd highest amount of correct answers and also a high score of 36 correct answers in 60 seconds!
MOTIVATE MATHS WEEK - JUNE 2007
As part of 'Motivate Maths' week, pupils used the free PIVOT animation package to create PE related animations. Skills in Maths areas such as timing, speed, distance and perspective were all used.
