"I take great pride writing this introduction to West Derby School.
We are a very popular boys’ school serving the needs of a large, varied community.
We are currently based on two sites approximately three miles from the city centre,
allthough we expect to be in our new building by 2009.
We welcome the fact that all our boys are individuals with differing backgrounds,
talents, aspirations and needs.
We offer the full range of academic and enrichment opportunities
and are very proud of the boys’ achievements.
All our students are entered for a full range of examinations.
Our last visit from Ofsted highlighted many of our successes
and was especially complimentary about the boys:

They behave well in response to their excellent relationships with teachers.
