Happy new year from Flachau, Austria!

On the 31st of december the party started early for the boys of West derby as after a hard day of skiing the boys relaxed in the resort bar, by dancing and singing tunes such as the Y.M.C.A , cotten eye joe and the Classic new years eve favourite, The Final Countdown though slightly early, as it was only 4 o'clock. We know how to show the natives how to have fun on holiday, by starting a conga around the bar. This was before Returning to the hotel as we seen the final hours of 2008 slowly tick by.

The Night will be fondly remembered as two not-so-young teenage lovers became one, as our Leader Martin became engaged to his long time Girlfriend Sally.

Allthough a night of intense celebration that welcomed 2009, The day started with its usual struggle of getting up early in the morning.another groundbreaking day of skiing followed as Team Higham joined the rest of the groups on the mountains, with many thanks to their instructor Stephan. Bringing them on the brink of the higher groups. following a rather humerous attempt to go down the moutain the Higham team seemed to have spent more time on the snow rather than on their skiis.
